10Blanchy's Tash Bar & RestaurantI’m always on the hunt for this city’s top watering holes and Blanchy’s always makes my list for one of the best places to savour a perfectly made cocktail. It is definitely one of my favourite places to relax and grab a drink right in the middle of Saigon. Our first round started off with one of Blanchy’s signature cocktails, the Boisson Aromatique (grey goose, St. Germain, pear-rosemary puree, pressed apple, fresh lime) a lovely play of flavours topped with a sweet champagne espuma. This was cocktail heaven! While I happily sipped away, my friend opted for their In Bloom gin and tonic complete with Bloom Gin, dehydrated oranges and hints of rosemary. We were both off to a tasty start and didn’t think the drinks could get any better! Clearly we spoke too soon because our next round outdid itself! Blanchy’s green Slant of Light (absolute extract, melon, homemade cardamom syrup, citrus, egg white) was the perfect balance of sweet and savory that truly brought the art of making and shaking to life. To sum up, this smoky and sultry craft cocktail is not only aesthetically pleasing, but it’s incredible to the very last drop. Our final drink was the Trans-Atlantic Tea Party. A hibiscus tea infused gin intermingled with pink guava, vanilla, fresh pressed lemon, thyme and sparkling wine. Another fantastic combination that was hard to not down in one gulp! With its swooping dark interior Blanchy’s is one of***City’s most gorgeous drinking spots. With its floor to ceiling bar stocked to perfection, it’s hard not to fall in love with its bustling atmosphere. They also have a good weekend roster of local artists and DJ's which always makes for a fun night out!
