As the name suggests, the restaurant is themed as a wine cellar. Bar Hầm Rượu Vang is hidden away from the main road of Le Van Sy and upon entering this restaurant, you would think you are entering another world. And I won't blame you if you thought you were in Batman's cave as in Bar Hầm Rượu Vang it is dimly lit with candles. It is almost a-given that you have to order a bottle of wine if you intend to dine in Bar Hầm Rượu Vang. At least that is what the staff expects as the wine selection is the main draw, not the food. But that said, the food is not too bad. Their menu options are very unique and refreshingly tasty as well. We had the tuna salad, squid, pork ribs and hot soup noodles. The noodles was what impressed us the most. Steamy hot broth with delicious noodles to beat. The dining experience at Bar Hầm Rượu Vang is worth the visit. You would love the ambience and just be amazed how such a set up actually exists. Saigon truly never fails to surprise us with their hidden gems.
